Think. Learn.
I blogged about this over at the MBC yesterday.
Watch it.
Think.
Learn.
Despite the challenges outlined,
I still love Belgium...

still thinking...
I can feel it,
I am starting to wind down
for my January Hiatus...
But I might have one more
mini-series in me
before then.
I will consider this the start.

Night Shot: Me and Lexa To and Fro
This Autumn I found myself riding Lexa
to a number of bikish meetings.
We had a lot of fun together,
Even in the cool and darkness.
What I determined
Is that I do not like the
Po Campo Pilsen
solution I have been trying.
It's a great bag,
but not for going to and fro from meetings
with the stuff I need to haul.
I found my items overflowing into a second bag to carry,
and eventually a backpack, which I am not a fan of.
The one thing that really sets me over the edge,
is that I carry two locks.
I just do.
And so,
as one who is always looking for the perfect solution,
I began to think....
and think....
and think...
still thinking...

lovely, lovely, lovely...

Lexa basking in the morning Sun
Yesterday was BeaUtiful.
I woke up to SUN
Hopped on Lexa
and rode off in warmth.
A Lovely, Lovely, Lovely
Morning.
turned in to...

very ready for happy hour...(that's Lexa there looking so "City" up on the bars..)
A Lovely, Lovely, Lovely
Day...
I have not been here much lately
because I have been busy
helping to organize a board retreat.
It has been a great experience for me.
The day went well.
The people great as always.
The conversation lively, engaging, smart, funny.
But what I enjoyed most of all was our ride after the meeting
over to happy hour.
I do not often ride with other people,
but there were 10 or so of us, silently gliding,
smiling, laughing, chatting,
out riding our bicycles.
It was a moment for me to cherish,
though not captured on film besides this,
it is forever captured in my heart.
What is better than bicycling?
Bicycling friends.

i do bikey things...

i do bikey things...
one of my recent bikey things
has been coordinating the launch of
the Minneapolis Bicycle Coalition's very first t-shirt.
shameless plug:
the MBC has a membership deal going on right now
join
and get one of our t's for free.
sounds good eh?
if you live in Minneapolis -
do it
if you live anywhere else -
do it
it takes a lot to get a successful organization off the ground and running
i am proud to count myself as part of this group
i hope you will be too.
now back to regularly scheduled programming...

oh yeah...

I just spent my Saturday morning
walking around OUTSIDE in 7F weather (at best)
with snow falling around me
and my hands and feet about ready to fall off.
I was dressed like I was going on a Patagonian Expedition,
but 7 degrees is 7 degrees...
It would have been easy to just hide under the covers,
but that's not who I am.
And besides, I did it for the love of bicycling.
More on that soon,
but let's continue with Texas.
We spent a soul charging afternoon
at Pedernales Falls.
It made everything right in the world.
If you are headed to Austin,
I highly recommend the drive out to Hill Country.
Ahhh....Sun...
Ahhh....Warmth...
what is that again?....
Okay, okay, I'm getting to the bicycle part!
Tomorrow...
