So what does a gal do when she is on a blog hiatus?

Work on another blog...

Part of my bikishness
has involved setting up the new blog
for the Minneapolis Bicycle Coalition.
You may recognize the hyggelig shots in the banner...
With the help of the kind gent who manages the MBC website,
we set up the MBC's first blog.
Wordpress was chosen as the platform,
initially I was quite enamored with wp,
but that lasted about 5 minutes.
I am really a blogger kind of gal.
I equate it to folks who like macs or pc's,
I'm a mac gal.
Anyhow, it has been an interesting experience
and I have learned a lot.
The blog will continue to evolve and it has been fun
to see the content of our contributors thus far.

Being bikish is fun,
I am glad I now have an official affiliation
through which to put all my bikishness
to good use.

And I am happy to say,
it doesn't stop at the blog...

bikishness...

I went to my first official bikishness meeting
last night and I have to say, I am really excited.
I felt like a little girl on her first day of school before I went.
It was great to sit around a table with a group of people
who are energized to contribute to the greater good,
who all have their own opinions,
who are all very different,
but who all love bicycles.
I can't wait to see what the future brings...

When I came home, I found this little gem
while tooling around my usual spots,
isn't it great?

Bicycles,
I just never get tired of them...

I'm off for a ride...

captivated...

The other day I took time out of the lycra
to ride the Pash
over to meet someone
to talk about all things bicycle.
It was a beautiful afternoon for a slow ride
and I found myself particularly captivated
by the low lying light in the sky.
Reminds me of my past life...

It was fun to talk bicycles and bicycling with someone
who knows a thing or two about them.
Just check out his bicycle (bottom pic).
The result of our meeting is that I will officially
be taking my bikishness up a notch soon,
and I enjoyed a lovely late Sunday afternoon
outside with my beloved Sun.
