Assessment 1 - The Basket:
My basket is pretty.
My basket is practical.
My basket holds my bag of stuff.
My basket functions sort of like a fig leaf when riding in a skirt.
My basket needs to be just a little bit bigger...
I love having a basket!

Basket as fig leaf - I love it!
doT ~ you know what I'm talking about girlfriend...
Basket = not having to get your back sweaty from wearing a bike bag. Are you using the standard issue Pashley one? I don't like how it tapers at the bottom (which makes for less cargo space). I replaced my with a hard core dutch wicker basket that is really deep and round on the bottom. It's huge!

Hey Ms. S! I was just thinking about you and your babe-to-be this morning... getting closer....
And, the basket - I've been meaning to ask you what you replaced yours with. I am using the basket that came with the bike and I love how it looks, but yes - it is too small. The taper at the bottom barely allows for my purse so I do a lot of squeezing. I want a "hard core dutch wicker basket". Any recommendations? I want to be able to at least fit a bag of groceries in it.
Also, I have a bad back, so basket=much less strain on my back - I love using it!!!!
