I blogged about this over at the MBC yesterday.
Watch it.

Very interesting.

Trisha and I are planning a trip to Brussels (among other destinations) for October. I'd love to hear any recommendations you may have!

Hey D.O.T.! I always appreciate your visits here, thanks!

Oooooo....would love to hear more about your trip!! I think the world has changed a lot since we were in Belgium. I was there working in Brugge (aka Bruges) many years ago (at least 12 now :*( ) and I would highly recommend going there. Frites, waffles, and chocolate (which I do not normally like) can not be beat! I remember being entranced by the enormous fireplace at our hotel, the canals, the bicycles, and the motor scooters. Just lovely!! And yes, the sky can not be beat - lots of photo fodder for you. Oh boy, I just came up with a business idea for all of us...

Brussels can be a bit seedy by the train station (don't think that has changed from what I hear), otherwise I can't advise on that. We went on to Amsterdam - which of course, is AMAZING. I would advise the train from Amsterdam to Haarlem for a day trip. Haarlem is the first place I saw those 'crazy' bicycle kid seats for sale at a bicycle shop near the Franz Hals Museum. I said - 'those would never sell in America', now look at us! I see kids riding in these in front of my house all the time - it sends me straight back to happy memories! Well done America...

Brugge will always be a fond place in our hearts. Belgium is a beautiful country, I can not wait to return!! And I can't wait to hear more about your trip.
