On so many levels this has never happened to me:
1. I watched the news and felt upbeat and excited afterwards
2. I watched the news and two stories (1 & 2) in a row were showing what used to be 'alternative' ideas as mainstream.
3. I watched the news because I turned it on, and I didn't walk away
Thank goodness I was waiting for Hub to get ready to go get his bike at the shop or these great things would have never have happened to me.

ROFL, cute and telling words ;). I watched this last night, tried to embed it from the news portal, but no go. Glad you did.
It took the US a 'bit' longer, but this was bound to happen. Bottom up force, getting a boost, perhaps open the floodgates, hehe. Sure feels good, yes! Happy they didn't try to squeeze in some 'fringe' stuff, like they usually do to play it down. Or scare people. So, cynicism aside, go go go!
ROFL?! I had to G**gle that one - nice, I like it.
Yeah, it would be nice if it wasn't such a 'big deal' here and had always been part of the mindset - and yeah, the news here is, well, like most things here, a bit skewed. But I will never complain when people are doing good things, no matter how they do them. This country is one strange place my friend.
hahaha, that's even cuter :)
I grew up with plenty of American culture, I lived in NYC for a while and I'm a history buff/media nut...so I know exactly what you're talking about. 'Strange' is one way of putting it :-p.
